KickLab is an iOS app built for football specialists, including kickers, punters, snappers, and coaches. This Privacy Policy applies to information processed through the app, including sign-in, session tracking, local athlete profiles, and related support interactions.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect and process the following categories of information:
- Account information such as email address, sign-in credentials, and authentication identifiers when you create or access an account.
- Sign-in method information when you choose email/password sign-in or Google sign-in.
- Session data you create in the app, including charting results, notes, performance history, athlete profile details, and profile photos.
- Device, diagnostics, analytics, and crash information that may be collected to maintain, secure, and improve the app.
- Advertising and consent-related information if rewarded ads or user consent tools are shown.
- Subscription status information provided by Apple in connection with premium access.
3. How Information Is Stored
KickLab is designed to be local-first. Session data, athlete profiles, and profile photos are primarily stored locally on your device. Coach mode may support multiple local athlete profiles on a single device so that a coach can manage separate athletes from one installation.
Some limited information may also be processed by third-party service providers to enable authentication, advertising, diagnostics, or subscription verification, as described below.
4. Authentication
If you sign in to KickLab, authentication is provided using Firebase Authentication. Depending on the sign-in option you choose, Firebase may process your email address, authentication identifiers, and related account security information. If you choose Google sign-in, Google may also process information needed to complete that sign-in flow under Google's own privacy terms.
5. Advertising and Consent
Free users may be shown rewarded ads through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). If ads are enabled, Google and its partners may collect or receive device and advertising-related information as described in their policies.
We may use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) or a similar consent flow to present privacy choices, request consent where required, and store consent preferences.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
Premium subscriptions, including billing, renewal, and payment processing, are handled by Apple through your App Store account. We do not store full payment card information. We may receive limited subscription status or transaction-related information from Apple to confirm access to premium features.
7. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- Provide sign-in, account access, and app functionality.
- Save and display local session history, athlete profiles, and review tools.
- Support coach mode and profile management on a shared device.
- Deliver rewarded ads to eligible free users.
- Process consent choices and comply with legal obligations.
- Monitor reliability, analyze usage trends, and diagnose crashes or technical issues.
- Maintain security and prevent fraud, abuse, or misuse.
8. Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information for money. We may share information with service providers and partners only as reasonably necessary to operate the app, such as:
- Firebase Authentication for user sign-in and account security.
- Google services for sign-in, AdMob rewarded ads, and UMP consent.
- Apple for subscription billing, purchase validation, and renewals.
- Analytics, diagnostics, hosting, or support providers used to keep the service secure and functional.
- Law enforcement, regulators, or other parties when required by law or when necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.
9. Data Retention
Because core training data is primarily stored on your device, local retention depends in part on your device settings, backups, and any deletions you make in the app. Information processed by third parties, such as authentication, diagnostics, consent, or subscription records, may be retained in accordance with their operational and legal requirements.
10. Your Choices
- You may choose whether to create an account and whether to sign in by email/password or Google.
- You may manage ad-related and consent-related choices through prompts shown in the app where available.
- You may stop using the app, delete local content from your device, or manage app permissions in iOS settings.
- You may manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple App Store account settings.
11. Children's Privacy
KickLab is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate authorization. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us so we can review the request.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of storage, transmission, or electronic security is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. International Use
If you use the app outside the country where our business operates, information may be processed in other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Those jurisdictions may have different data protection laws than your own.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the app, on this website, or by other reasonable means. The updated version becomes effective on the stated Effective Date.
